Hey, I’m Fisher and despite my name I have never gone fishing! I am currently a junior animation student at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I grew in the much smaller town of Westford, Massachusetts, where my favorite hobby was exploring the woods. All the time spent watching birds and upturning stones for bugs made me both incredibly excited about nature and also a daydreamer, imagining stories about the animals I’d see. Those stories needed to be manifested in some manner, and that’s what led me to pursue storytelling through animation.

 

To this day, I still draw a lot of inspiration from the natural world, and it fuels my creative energy. As a result, world-building and creatures go into the design and illustration work of all of my own stories, and I hope to expand my skills help me bring personal projects to fruition while also serving on projects for other people. 


 

I especially love monster movies, recent favorites being Nope and Annihilation. In general, my favorite animated media are Scavengers Reign, the Spiderverse films, and Bigtop Burger. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to The Silt Verses podcast, and also reading a good book (most recently being “House of Leaves”).
